I look around these days and I see us waiting for a lot. We are waiting to get paid, waiting for the next piece of news, waiting to move away, waiting for a divorce to be final, waiting for someone to step in your life that really loves you. Really.....we are just waiting to die.

There is so much that i Ponder everyday about life and death and how so badly we really want our life to be. Honestly i wish i could wake up every morning and just write and record music. Maybe have a few million dollars in my bank account. However.....that's all just a dream and so distant. We want to much and dont appreciate the small shit. Some of us are waiting for 2012. Some think Jesus is coming soon. Some waiting on a miracle. We are just waiting, but all we are doing is waiting to die. All the money and all the friendship is not gonna mean anything when we die. If you have a legacy then good for you ,but a huge percentage of us will just die off and have people close to us pretend like we lived and left a legacy, only to shortly forget about us. Dreams are cool. Money Is great. Friends and family are Awesome. However, Death is forever and honestly its like sometimes thats the only thing to look forward to these days.

Im just sitting back observing all the dumb shit that we do to each other in our own cultures. Violence is so devastating among us. How can we be so heartless to each other. We really need to evaluate how we treat each other. There is too much going on in the world for us to just sit back and kill and hurt each other. My heart is sickened right now in the wake of the natural disaster in japan and two of our airman being killed in a non-combat zone at a German airport. SHit is real. Let's start loving yall!!

ELMWOOD PLACE - An Elmwood Place police officer who stopped a car because it had illegally tinted windows received a bit of a shock when he looked inside.

Officer Ross Gilbert said the driver, Colondra Hamilton, a 36-year-old Downtown resident, was sitting with her pants unzipped and a sex toy in her lap.

He said Hamilton told him she was using the toy while watching a sex video on a laptop computer that a passenger in the front seat held up so she could see it.

Gilbert charged her with "driving with inappropriate alertness" and having illegal tinted windows, according to the traffic ticket.

The incident occurred at 7 p.m., Aug. 17, on Township Avenue in Elmwood Place, a small village in central Hamilton County.

Gilbert admitted he had never encountered a traffic case quite like this one.

"It's very unusual," he said. "This is a first for me."

Hamilton was released on her own recognizance soon after her arrest.

She is scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday in Hamilton County Municipal Court. cincinnati.com

The Game needs more fans and less Rappers!

I must admit that it is extremely hard being an artist in today's music industry. Competition is so tough and technology has made it extremely easy to be heard and profitable around the world. The thing that has really amazed me the most is that there are a lot of fucking artist out there doing what they do and trying to come up. I respect their hustle...i really do, but i think a lot of us need to fall back a little. It's like on my myspace page artist try to add me as a friend for no other reason, but to get me to hear their music. That's cool, but it bothers me that they have no intentions of collabing or nothing. I just Deny them and keep it moving.

I am working on my Fan 1st project because i love music and I would like to hear from some of the guys on the come up and some well established ones as well. I'm a Fan 1st! I'm sure there are a lot of people that aren't even excited about music anymore because there is so much out there and nobody cares about anybody but themselves. Well.....I care and if i think you are dope i'm a fan and a loyal one at that. I just wish a lot of us could just fall back and watch the game and fall in love with hip hop music all over again.

I must admit that it's been nerve wacking lately not having some new music in my iPod when i'm at the gym. I'm usually listening to my usual artist....Talib Kweli, Mos Def, Supastition, Jake ONe, and plenty more, but i'm sort of bored with the boom bap when i'm working out. It really helps to feel that 808 when i'm pumping that iron. I must say that the song that gets me going is that Common "universal mind control" joint. Got a lot of energy to it. This week I've been loading my iPod with Pastory Troy, T-Pain, LiL Jon, Ludacris, Bun B, and even Shawty Lo.

I know Madd is probably gonna give me some flack for that statement.....LOL! It's okay though, i think every piece of music has to serve a purpose. When i'm trying to stay on task in the gym I certainly don't wanna hear a record that just has that slows my tempo down. One thing a lot of people don't know about me is that I was born and raised in Lousiana and i grew up on a lot of the south music. One in particular is "Bounce music". MY music doesn't mirror what comes out of the south, but i'm not trying to throw a 3rd Brillyance record on at a family bar-b-que. People want that beat and crazy shit to listen to when they are trying to have a good time...LOL!!

Okay i hate doing Physical Training( out of shape Journal..LOL)

Okay guys....if you don't know this by now, my day job is in the United States Air Force. For some of you, your impression of military life might be harsh. We are on call 24hrs a day, but that doesn't bother me as much as having to do mandatory physical training. Don't get me wrong.....I love to play sports, exercise and shit, but when someone is demanding I constantly do it....I GET PISSED...lol.

Now, I like to be lazy (as i have been the whole winter), but when i have to get in shape i do it. Tommorow I have a physical training exam and I'm extra out of shape. I play basketball at least once a week, but i havent been running those long distances like I should have. Tomorrow will be such a killa to my physical health. I'm mentally prepared, but not physically. After tomorrow, i will be giving you guys some updates on my physical status. Mainly because i am 206 pounds and it doesn't feel healthy at all. God I hate this physical training shit. This is one of the reason that really makes me wanna turn in my uniform, but that would be stupid, RECESSION is kicking ass out there son!!!

Just cause you can record in a studio don't mean you have a great live show!!

I've been having this debate with some folks for some time now. Honestly, I don't even know why I continue to have this conversation with such people. Anyways....let's cut to the meat and potatoes of this thing. .....There are definitely some guys out there that rap and swear they are the best shit since sliced bread, but when they hit the stage the show is sooooo stale. I feel that a live performance is the best way to market your music and leave a lasting impression on your audience. It doesn't matter if its a small crowd you should still be able to engage them correctly. I got a few rules to follow if you don't want to have a bad show.

My number one rule is a good one.

1. Don't come to a live show with the actual studio recordings and just rap over the original songs. (I hate that. However, It's okay to have the hook in there or maybe even an adlib if you don't have a back up emcee)

2. Don't have a million dumb asses on the stage with mics screaming and yelling and screaming drowning you and your music out...LOL!

3. Engage and work the crowd. I've seen rappers engaging everybody on the stage never even acknowledging the crowd. Just don't get up on that stage, rap and bounce. Let the people have fun. Shit every show I've done no one ever new the lyrics to any of our songs, but I guarantee that when we get off stage, they have had fun while interacting with us.

4. Don't stand in one spot holding your private parts....LOL! (this is sickning!!)

5. Don't do more talking than you are perfoming. No one wants to hear your whole life story and synopsis of every song you perform. Just get in there and let the crowd feel it. If they like it, they will respond. If not......you will know. Taking a 2min block to explain why you wrote the song and shit just isn't effective.

Okay there are more rules to come, but just soak these five up for now. In the mean time check out some poor examples of a show:

What if Michelle Obama was white with Blond hair? (what would you think of Barrack?)

Hey People!! We are almost upon the inauguration of President Elect Barrack Obama. Indeed this is a historic event and i'm glad to see it happen. During the Campaign before he was selected I had a lot on my mind regarding the views of the world towards President Obama. Okay.....We all proclaim him as being the first black president. Got it!! I'm tracking on that. Some of us protest saying that he is not black because he's half white. Okay...got it!! Tracking on that too!!

I was thinking one day that what if Obama had a white wife with blond hair and kidz with a much lighter complexion and let's say maybe (Red hair). Do we really think that Obama would still be considered our first black president. I say no. The contrast in that public image would be so overwhelming that the African American population would probably thrown names of uncle tomish sort!!

I know it sounds crazy, but lets really think about it. If Michelle Obama was not a 6 foot BLACK WOMAN standing next to him, then some of our views would certainly change. Now don't get me wrong...I'm crazy about his election into office and very happy about it. I just wondered what it would be like if he had such a situation and how would the American public view him, especially African Americans. Trust me the family is beautiful and it seems that the Huxtable family is entering the white house. What if It was as I mentioned before? Would we still have the same views?

On a closing note though. I view President Obama's election as wining a division championship. The Super Bowl Is far from won. I encourage all of us to enjoy his this sweet victory now and support the man through more tough times ahead but remember that he cannot save and change your life by himself. It starts with us. Just because we have a black president please believe when some walk out of their houses and into their impoverished neighborhoods, there will still be drugs and crime. We have to know that the key to changing our communities are up to the US! If we rely solely on the election of Obama to change our lives and community then we got it all wrong. Trust me folks, we won't see and immediate change in these crime infested areas. Hell....we probably won't see any change, but that is something we must understand.

I know how some of us can be at times. Once The man gets elected and we don't see a direct or immediate impact in our lives, then we start to point fingers and saying that he wasn't what we thought he was. African American people please brace yourself because if you don't see any immediate change in your hood don't get discouraged. Just know that it is our responsibility to help the situation. June Bug is still gonna be on that corner slanging dope after the 20th of January. Think about it!

We want change....well we got our start, but what are we doing to help change ourselves and the situations around us.

So it's the new year

what up famlays! It's a new year and I hope everybody is enjoying the start of it. Well as for me......I got married right before the new year. It seems that events are constantly popping up more and more in the news. There is one particular issue that has really pissed me off pass my highest point of pisstivity.

Is anyone aware of the execution style shooting death of 22yr old Oscar Grant by an Oakland police department???? All i have to say is it is just devastating. This happened on new years day and so tragic. When it took place there were bystanders with cameras filming the men being detained by the police. Long story short.....one of the officers just pulls out his gun and shoots Mr. Grant in the back fatally wounding him. Take a look for yourself and see if the shooting was justifiable.

I swear if this cop gets off with this, the city of oakland will burn. I believe it's gonna be worse than 1992 in Los Angeles after the beating of unarmed Rodney King.

The thing that pisses me off the most is that I have not seen it in any mainstream media outlets! I got some reasons why, but I still feel they should report it. NO JUSTICE FOR THIS TRAGEDY THEN THERE WON'T BE ANY PEACE!!!!

Presidential Election

It's been almost a month since i last wrote and gave you guys some insight on what is going on with the album. This will not be one of those post! The only thing on my mind right now is the election and school. I'm really curious to see who becomes the next president of the United States. I do feel that if Obama wins, America will change, but there will be a huge uproar. It's really sad to say, but those are just my expectations.

A lot of people are pushing for their favorite canidate and most really don't know anything about them. Fox news feeds a bunch of bullshit to the world, but there are some things that we really need to research about these people to understand why we are voting for them. SOme will tell you that they are just voting for obama just because he's black. Come on now, do you know where this guy stands at on free trade, taxation, social security, national defense, and foreign policy?? 90 Percent don't have a clue!!!

Ignorance is plaguing out nation and people. We spend a lot of time on the internet social networking and talking shit, but how many of us take the time to do some research on the policies of these canidates and try to understand what the possible change would be if we voted for them.

Hello Folks,

You have stopped to the right place to get the latest info on us. For those of you that don't know we are slowly working on our new album entitled "THE CULTURE COMPASS" LP. This is not being released on the Rawkus 50 imprint. For those of you that don't know what and who the Rawkus 50 is, then please do some research. These are 50 artist of the underground movement that are sure to satisfy your taste buds for new music.

Okay......enough of that! Let's continue to talk about the next album. I'm excited. I've been writing a lot and it seems like our true and loyal fans will be pleased and will agree that the sophomore album is much better and interesting than the first. Before Madd left for the U.S. we worked on a few tracks for this project. The records came our real nice and we should be previewing them in the near future. Folks just know that the album is in the works and people should be excited about it because it is going to be that good!
